After DoomsdayEdit

The nuclear winter lasted between October 1962 and March 1963. A nuclear summer then lasted between April 1963 and September 1964. A major famine, a major equine herpesvirus EHV-1 plague, a heavy dysentery out break and a minor flu outbreak killed many people in the region. Many refugees, mostly from Finland, Norway, Denmark and E. Germany, arrived between 1965 and 1968.

A 5 page, bi-annual news pamphlet has been in circulation since 2010. Posters are put up locally as and when necessary. It’s capital has a local FM radio station that broadcasts for 2 hours a day since 2008.


Both horses and sailing vessels are the main forms of transport in the republic.



Compulsory schooling is from ages 5 to 11.
