After DoomsdayEdit

The nuclear winter lasted between October 1962 and March 1963. A nuclear summer then lasted between April 1963 and September 1964. A moderate famine a major, a modest equine herpesvirus EHV-1 plague, a minor dysentery out break and a minor flu outbreak killed some people in the region. Many refugees, mostly from Finland, Denmark and E. Germany, arrived between 1964 and 1968.

Present dayEdit


It is agrarian by nature largely dependent on agriculture, fishing, low level granite mining, peat cutting and selling high end beef. Fishing, and to a lesser degree logging underpin the state's growing economy. Most of the economy is weighted towards agricultural production though there are some industrial aspects to the urban economy like furniture making, cobbling and canning. It is in a slightly higher capability than the of nations like Northern France, PRUK, Lancashire or the SER.


A 5 page, bi-annual news pamphlet has been in circulation since 1971. It has a national FM radio station that broadcasts for 2 hours a day since 1998. Stockholm had a weekly newspaper since 1972. Stockholm has a local FM radio station that broadcasts for 5 hours a day since 1978.


Both horses and sailing vessels are the mane forms of transport in the republic.


Improvised weapons, bows and swords were replaced by guns in 1997.


Compulsory schooling is from ages 5 to 14.

Health careEdit

Thyroid and lung cancer is still a major problem, but became much lower since 1979.
