Pennsylvania is a current state in the northeastern, mid-Atlantic and the Great Lakes region of the US. Before colonisation, many Indian tribes, such as the Iroquois and the Susquehannock, among others. It was first colonised by Dutch settlers (so as the southern tip of Manhattan in New York City, New York), and later possessed by Great Britain as part of the Thirteen Colonies. The largest city of the state, Philadelphia, was the national capital of the US after New York City and before Washington, DC. In the same city resides the Liberty Bell in Independence Hall on the Independence National Historical Park, which was ringed every 4th of July, the day the US declared independence from Great Britain until it cracked in the late 1800s.
